High blood pressure in the lungs, known as pulmonary arterial hypertension (PAH), is a potentially fatal disease caused by obstruction of blood flow in the lungs. A new study in The American Journal of Pathology sheds light on the pathology underlying PAH and shows that dofetilide, an FDA-approved KV11.1 channel blocker for the treatment of cardiac arrhythmias (brand name: Tikosyn), may be used for treatment of PAH.
It took a few months of feeling proper rough with the Ambrisentan but I have seen a mild improvement. the reason for my second RHC is to see if the pressure has been changed by the medicine so far? I will then need another RHC if they decide to take me off any or change them? They have also concluded I have Precapillary IPAH ? I have not played by the normal rules it seems( Nothing new there?) The first RHC showed only 70% O2 but my blood was 92% at rest? When I had the Nuclear MRI for some strange reason my left lung did not show at all but the regular MRI on the same day did, which at first they thought I had CETPH? I did know after a very grueling day my lungs hurt with all the breathing in and out etc.
The cold hits me hard and mild exercise but stairs are on a better day slightly winding me, but I can struggle another?
