A diet high in fiber and yogurt is associated with a reduced risk for lung cancer, according to a study by Vanderbilt University Medical Center researchers published in JAMA Oncology.
The benefits of a diet high in fiber and yogurt have already been established for cardiovascular disease and gastrointestinal cancer. The new findings based on an analysis of data from studies involving 1.4 million adults in the United States, Europe and Asia suggest this diet may also protect against lung cancer.
I was reading this thinking, This is interesting but I know this, then I became aware it’s talking about lung cancer. That really is a fascinating finding.

I am on a high fibre diet and have yoghurt daily. Hopefully will be good for me then
I have always had a high fibre diet but cannot stand yoghurt. Unfortunately the 55 years of heavy smoking still took it's toll, but my hope is that the cancer does not return again. Nothing I can do at this stage but "to go with the flow" and not worry about it, for which I'm too busy for anyway.
Oh goodie, my diet is high in fibre and live yogurt so I live in hope.
My mum never smoked or drank alcohol, she cooked her vegetables to death and hated yoghurt and ended up with secondary cancer in lungs then brain so perhaps there's something in this. Thanks 2greys
