Prednisone

I've been taking 10mg. for the last week or 10 days. My pulmonologist gave me the prescription a long time ago, but she doesn't want me to use them. I've been chided in the past on this forum, too, but I just feel I need something to help with my breathing and overall sense of well being. I will try tomorrow to start weaning by cutting the tablets in half. Am I crazy for taking them? What else can I do?

PS: Not on 02. Just started taking them because I felt so darn bad. One thing I must say, they do amplify your appetite.

Challny if you want to take them, then do that. It’s your body and I’m never going to chide you because Pete takes 10mg ever day. If he gets a chest infection, he takes more and weans back down to 10mg.

You can wean down to one tablet if you want to and then stop. If you’re feeling better then that’s a good thing. Hope you’re not eating too much...lol.
