I don’t know if this will help you but last year I changed from Anoro (Trelegy without the steroid) to spiolto which I believe is similar to spiriva. I found the spiolto dynamic in a way that Anoro just isn’t despite what the studies say. Sadly, I couldn’t tolerate the spiolto so reverted to Anoro and am now on Trelegy. So, yes, I can quite see how you might be noticing a difference. I challenged my consultant on the claims of these inhalers but he didn’t hear me - they can only work with the evidence they’re given from these big studies, I guess.

Hi Clareb67, do you have more info on Trelegy? I was changed from Braltus to Trelegy by the consultant at the hospital. I don't think it's any better than my previous inhaler, but then perhaps my expectations were too high. X

Trelegy is a 3 in 1 inhaler one of which is a steroid whereas Braltus has just one active ingredient so it’s difficult to make a true comparison. Trelegy isn’t cheap so your consultant must have felt the need to change your inhaler. I can only speak from my personal experience and what I read online. X

Yes, it made me quite ill. As soon as I stopped it I recovered.

I have been on many of the inhalers available in the States (I'm in the US). They all work differently for me. A couple left a lingering cough. One made my peak flows lower.

I alway give them a couple of weeks, except for the one that changed my peak flow. Keep track of how you react so that you can get the most from your meds with little or no side effects.
