Afternoon all

Just been for my review. The doc was not overly happy with my results. They are organising a chest consultant for me (only had a nurse so far) I have been put on completely new meds - Trimbow - which has replaced both of my usual puffers. My FEV1 was at 30% so borderline stage 4?

Hi Brisara, it will be good for you to see a chest specialist and I hope the appointment comes through soon.

Wishing you all the best. Xxxx

Hi there,I understand how you are feeling.....like being left in limbo so to speak until you speak to the Chest Consultant. Like sassy59 has already said, fingers crossed you won't have to wait too long for an appointment. Just keep in mind that many members here, use the philosophy that "numbers are only numbers and you feel as good as your body tells you".

I wish you all the best and a nice, sooner rather than later appointment!

Hello Brisara, wishing you well, let's hope you don't have to wait too long for your Consultation and then you can get on with living your life to the full. Please let us know how you get on? 😉🤞xx

Thank you all, much appreciated :)

To be honest I saw a Chest Consultant for about six months and found my own GP and Pulminary Rehab., Team to be of far more help! Perhaps I was unlucky.

All the best.

I had exactly the same experience as you. The only useful thing that was done was to send me for a CT scan which I had to wait 4 months for the result from and force the locum lung consultant to show me the CT report.

Hello Hidden .

I really hope the respiratory specialist can help you. Have you thought about lung transplant? You are very young, and I am unsure, but besides your lung issues you are quite fit?

Please keep us updated. I am also in the final stages of lung disease. Some days I think I won't see next summer. On other days I think I may see my grandchildren. Roller coaster emotions.

Sending warm wishes,

Cas xx 🙋🐕

Hello Cas! Your gently worded posts are like a ray of sunshine. Thank you. I know exactly what you mean, this is a roller coaster expect with this one I would happily get off! Not thought about a lung transplant, to be honest I’m just taking things day by day and trying to keep smiling 😊 x

How much of a change is this from your last spirometry or PFT? I have never seen a Test quality on any results before. It shows Grade D but not sure what that relates to.

Jackdup, not sure but does it mean poor test results, as in not clear? I honestly don’t know.

Hi Brisara hope you get your appointment with the respiratory physician soon and that he/ she will arrange a CT scan to see why your breathing had deteriorated. A CT scan is the only way to determine this. After Reading your past post, your move from stage 2 has been unusually quick I think. I cannot believe you have not seen a resp physician and given the appropriate tests. Good luck . Would like to know how you get on🤞🤞
