Allow for shrinkage?

I lent my well loved campervan

To my nephew and his wife.

They went to many foreign parts

He and his trouble and strife.

Today he gave it back again,

Which I was pleased to see.

But I think that I need Specsavers,

It looks smaller than it used to be!

Hi

Should always read the label, hot wash can play havoc surprised the colours didn’t run.

Was wondering where you had got to Don!

I have heard of clothes shrinking in the wash but it's the first time I have heard of a camper van! :) x

Lovely as always Don

Haha..so now you have a new toy to play with, at least you can open the doors! I bet Midge thought is he having a joke??

Fran xx

Don saw a clock like that on Antiques Roadshow it was valued at £50.000 or was it £50?...only joking mate 😂ps another good rhythm from our Rhymer

That's my nostalgia clock. I remember my grandparents had one similar looking clock that had Westminster chimes which I loved hearing as a child. It didn't cost much and is something of a fake because it plays digital chimes through little speakers hidden inside. In fact its's very realistic but the dammed thing was driving me mad. Fortunately it has a very effective off switch.

Bet you were glad to have her back Don. It'll be because you've been using the caravan. Now you and Midge can go and have an icecream watching the figures on Formby beach.Enjoy ! Sheila xx

I never got to go away in the caravan, Sheila, the heat was too much for me. It reminded me of why I gave up caravnning for the campervan. I bought the little Freedom so that I could take my daughter with me, or a friend who thinks I need a carer, to tow behind the camper. On arrival it would be up to them to do the donkey work whilst I brewed up. ;-)

Brilliant idea Don. Autumn would be a lovely time to go away - and be waited on. Mmm bacon and eggs for breakfast in the open air you can't beat it ! Sheila xx

Don't we've been honestly missing your wit and humour over the last few days,,,,you were obviously missing your beloved Campervan. Great to know she's been an active girl (I'm presuming she is a "she"?) going places and seeing the sights and bright lights. I bet you'll be giving her a good polish and a bit if chit chat too?

in reply to SquirrelsHolt

Yes she is a she all right, has cost me a fortune over the years. Came home absolutely spotless with many minor repairs done and a new roof top aerial having had an altercation with a height barrier. I must admit I missed her, but travelling the Continent is what she was built for and she did me proud.
