After my last visit to Wythenshawe Hospital in Manchester UK. I found out that I am also suffering with pulmonary hypertension on the right side of my heart, I am currently trying to get on the Lung Transplant List. This was found as part of my 3 day assessment. I currently have severe Bronchiectasis as well as having a lobectomy and am currently on 02 24/7. I just wondered if anyone else has found this out while on the assessment or suffers from it? If so what do they take to help it?
I welcome all your comments.

PH can happen as a result of lung disease. The right heart pumps the deoxygenated blood from the body back into the lungs to “pick” oxygen from the alveoli. If there is damage to the lungs or blockage in blood vessels it can prevent the blood flowing properly and it backs back into the right heart. And that can eventually damage the right heart. Your consultants can refer you to the Pulmonary Vascular Disease Unit at the Royal Hallamshire Hospital in Sheffield. If you do get into the transplant list they may think that referral would be unnecessary as a transplant would solve the problem.
