Had my vaccine yesterday at last. Was fine apart from aching arm. Today I have upper back pain and bit tight chested also tired. Is this just a side effect anyone know? I've heard it can make you feel bit rubbish for day or two?

Had mine a couple of years ago, early morning, by lunch time was feeling really awful so took to my bed and slept until the following morning, when I woke up feeling fine, so yes, it can 'get you' a bit if you are unlucky.

Hello Shancock .

I had a vaccination a few weeks ago. I felt quite unwell for a whole week afterwards. Just so lethargic and feverish. Took a while for me to get over it. Just take it easy. Get lots of rest. Take good care.

As with the flu vaccine it can't protect against all of the pneumonia bugs unfortunately Whit, only the most likely ones.

Shancock, I too sufferered after the pneumonia jab. Incredibly sore arm and felt awful for up to a week. Was about 2012/13, I'd had several pneumonia in preceding couple of years & none since. P

I, too, had the booster shoot 2 days ago & my arm is really sore. Also, i’m Just getting over the lethargy that can be a side affect, so I’ve been told. I suppose it’s a small price to pay for the protection that we respitory patients need. Although I had no reaction to the initial shot - go figure! You should feel better soon; if not, contact a medical professional. Happy holiday in the meantime!
