I’m all dressed up to go to town one hour away and the hospital phones to cancel..so I have hired this care lady through an agency to take me there, I think I will get her to take me out anyway!

I will buy OTC meds for this reflux that some of you have suggested on the forum as it is getting worse with the prednisone, I can’t even sing with the Carpenters on Radio 2 anymore! Bea usually says ohhhh Mum you are so out of tune! Well nobody is going to stop me singing in the shower, that is definite😉
Have a word with your pharmacist about what medications to take for your reflux.
Have you got the red gastro resistant prednisolone, they are kinder on the stomach but more expensive I think. And make sure you eat before you take them.

Yeeees..14, 7, 4 and nearly 2 years. We are a pink and glittery household ha ha. All mine prefer the sounds of their own voices too...😂. You and Bea should sing together!..or is she into this modern stuff they call music? 😄
Haha must be fun 😂..oh at the moment she is in Beth Orton, Laura Marling etc one romantic ballad after another 💗 and on good days I have to put up with Pearl Jam blaring out of the car, her car so I keep my mouth shut and smile sweetly 😂
Sorry...that's the style of music. A band name would be Sleeping with Sirens for example. If you imagine a grown man all in black with long hair, makeup and piercings screaming all the way through a song with angry drums you're half way there...😂
I don't know if this will help, I have COPD and have had acid reflux for years, did it to myself and had no idea, was smoking at the time and chased it with a glass of OJ. Now I cannot eat any citrus on an empty tummy is just burns. I was on Randitine for years and now I take Tecta, my endoscopy showed an esophogeal hernia, I was a huge fruit nut. The surgeon explained everytime you open your mouth to eat or drink your body thinks mmm food and digestive juices start flowing, so never swallow anything without padding the tummy, ie crackers, oatmeal, cereal, toast but no jam, cinnamon toast or peanut butter toast, nothing ever alone in your tummy even water until the burning and reflux stops. We don't think we rise brush our teeth and sit with our coffee or tea but our tummy is looking for food pouring acid into out gutt. Small changes can give big rewards.
