Hi all.

I started my pr course on Friday.

I loved every minute.

The people were lovely.a dear lady and her accompanying hubby offered to take me home as I don't drive,and arrived via taxi.

They dropped me at my front door,and arranged to pick me up on Tuesday.๐Ÿ˜Š

The class itself was just brilliant.i can't wait to go back๐Ÿ˜Š

It's fab isn't it? On my 5th session on tues. You'll be surprised how much better you feel by the end of it ๐Ÿ˜Š How lovely that you've already met some lovely caring people, who you never may become friends. Onwards & upwards ๐ŸŒป

This really good to hear ...I'm still waiting for a referral ! Don't know why they can't just refer me to PR now rather than wait for my condition to get worse!

Anyway I'm glad you enjoyed and I'm looking forward to it at some point x

That's great to hear dawn, I've been referred to PR, at first upset because I didn't think I was 'that bad' but can now see it will be of great benifit to me, once my ego gets out of the way!! Lovely that the people there are so nice too, they are probably saying the same about you ๐ŸŒป๐ŸŒปxxx have a lovely Sunday dawn

I'm starting PR in early April. The physio at the hospital assessment was lovely, so I'm looking forward to staring it. Also, I had the option of doing it at my local gym (with hospital staff) so not too far to travel and best of all free parking.

Hi for those who feel the benefits of PR i recommend they get the free DVD from BLF I have found it very good, similar exercises warm ups etc as the PR I did with NHS

Hi ruby red.

You start off on a 90 second round of different exercises.

Ball lift

Sit to stand

Weights round the ankles


Weights for upper body


Wall press


All of the above the beginners do for 90 seconds each.

The further on the course you are,the longer each activity takes upto a maximum of 3.5 minutes each.

You chart your progress each time on a chart.cant wait to see how I progress as the course goes on๐Ÿ˜Š

Are they checking your oxygen level as you do the exercises?

That's checked before you go on the course and after you do a 6 minute walk.

Mine was 96 before,92 after...
