Loved pr

Hi all.

I started my pr course on Friday.

I loved every minute.

The people were lovely.a dear lady and her accompanying hubby offered to take me home as I don't drive, and arrived via taxi.

They dropped me at my front door, and arranged to pick me up on Tuesday.๐Ÿ˜Š

The class itself was just brilliant.i can't wait to go back๐Ÿ˜Š

Hope all is ok with everyone.

Lots of love.

Dawn

  • I'm starting PR in early April. The physio at the hospital assessment was lovely, so I'm looking forward to staring it. Also, I had the option of doing it at my local gym (with hospital staff) so not too far to travel and best of all free parking.

  • Hi Fantasy, Glad you enjoyed your pr. I've never done it. Everyone seems to get alot out of it. What do they have you do? Would be most interested to hear about it. Ruby๐ŸŒท๐ŸŒท

  • Hi ruby red.

You start off on a 90 second round of different exercises.

    Ball lift

    Sit to stand

    Weights round the ankles

    Bike

    Weights for upper body

    Steps

    Wall press

    Marching

All of the above the beginners do for 90 seconds each.

The further on the course you are,the longer each activity takes upto a maximum of 3.5 minutes each.

You chart your progress each time on a chart.cant wait to see how I progress as the course goes on๐Ÿ˜Š

  • Are they checking your oxygen level as you do the exercises?

  • No.

That's checked before you go on the course and after you do a 6 minute walk.

  • Thats really ๐Ÿ‘ good. Are you moderate copd? ๐ŸŒผ

  • No.im severe.

Have been since diagnosis in 2010...
