You need to do a 'risk assessment'. What are the chances of something happening that would extend your journey to well over that hour? Road works, car breakdown, minor accident, blocked in parking etc etc. Only you can decide if it's a risk worth taking.

It sounds like a trip out with your husband would maybe help you to relax. So why not go on a little ride in the car rather than a full blown supermarket shop. If you can manage an hour without oxygen, go out for half an hours trip leaving half an hour for unexpected events?

I'm a great believer in doing exactly what my doctors tell me to do. Increasing your oxygen could be exchanging one problem for another.

Why not give the BLF nurses a ring for some advice? The number is 03000 030 555 and they are there during office hours.

You need get your hubby to drive you to the hospital and get your pains checked out especially under your breast, just to be safe and have piece of mind. Never harm from a second opinion. You have megga anxiety this may calm your nerves and get all your questions answered and your hubby will be there by your side also learning. If you don't understand something tell the dr or the nurse to explain again until you do. Shopping for groceries can wait til after and probably be more pleasurable for both of you.
