Hi Bettie, do you take ventolin? That can cause shaking. See your doctor as soon as possible if you need advice. Take care. Xxxxx

yes, ventolin can cause shaking. I was also put on symbacort and spiriva inhalers which I really didn't get on with, and not sure which one, but one of them definitely made me shake. Hope you can sort the shaking out, as you have plenty to to cope with.

Welcome to the forum Bettie. I'm sorry to hear you're having problems.

You've come to the best place for advice & hopefully you will find the help you need.

I agree that Ventolin can cause shaking but you should maybe see your GP & have a review of your meds.

Take care 🌷

Hello Bettie. So glad you found us. I am sorry about your condition. I definitely shake though not uncontrollably. My doctors always say it's nothing to do with medicine but I am not sure that's really true. I think you need to consult your doctor. I really hope you are comfortable this weekend. Take care Bettie and please come back often.

Bettie, hi and welcome! My name is Krysta, I live in the U.S. too, Kansas to be exact. I have emphysema, on oxygen 1-3L 24/7, afib, glaucoma and cataracts. May as well throw in depression and anxiety as well. I'm on quite a few medications - breathing treatments 4x a day (ipratropion bomide and albuteral . Albuterol is known as ventolin in the UK, it's notorious for causing shaking and trembling as a side effect, fortunately for me I don't have this problem. You mentioned seeing many different doctors and taking lots of meds. What kind of drs do you see and what meds are you taking? I see several drs too, I fill my scripts at the same 3 pharmacies every time. Most through mail order, the that can't be mailed I fill at my local pharmacy and breathing meds I get from my oxygen supplier because that's how my lung doc wants it.

Sounds like it's a good time for you to have a good talk with a pharmacist about your medicines. Also have your Drs take the time to discuss them with you. For more information go to drugs.com they even have an interaction checker so you can see how they're working together.

I hope I've been some help 😊

You're quite welcome, Bettie! So glad I could be of help. I hope you find out what is causing the shaking and if your current primary Dr. doesn't show an interest in finding out then consider changing your PCP to one who will. Shaking isn't normal so don't let these drs dismiss you. You deserve the best of care 😊 have a peaceful day

Hi Bjmoss, welcome to the group. I had surgery to remove the top lobe of my right lung because of lung cancer. It has been very succesful but like you I take a few medications because I still have copd. At the time of surgery & in hospital I was on oxygen but don't have to use it now. When I was using Ventolin a lot I did get shaky. How often do you see your lung doctor or have you a nurse you could chat to? Take care Margaret x

THANK YOU, I HAD SURGERY TO REMOVE A PORTION ON THE RIGHT SIDE LUNG IN APRIL 2016. MY LEFT LUNG IS IN BAD SHAPE WITH COP SO I NEED OXYGEN ALL THE TIME. I SEE LUNG DR. EVERY 3 MONTHS AND MY PRIMARY AS NEEDED WHO DOESN'T SEEM TO BE CONCERNED WITH THE SHAKING. IT HAS TO BE CAUSED BY ONE OF THE MEDS I DIDN'T SHAKE BEFORE SURGERY. THANK YOU AGAIN FOR YOUR REPLY.
