Sarcoidosis & pulmonary fibrosis
I have both of these, the latter caused by the former. I have been told that I will need a transplant and my consultant is a transplant specialist. I am not sure what you are asking, yes I believe it is possible to have lung transplant, although it might depend on whether the sarcoidosis is active. But it all depends on your mother-in-laws age, general health etc.
Hope this helps.

Hi !thanks for reply she is 69 year old & she is being diagnosed in 1994 but gp hasn't done anything they should start steroid that time but 3 year ago her consultant started steroid now recently she diagnosed that she got pulmonary fibrosis .her consultant said she is not eligble for transplant if she was 65 they could think.my question is we did what dr said they shouldn't start steroid if steroid couldn't protect her lungs ,one of her lung don't work at all ,they could reffer her for transplant.how should i contact & request for transplant.
I am afraid you can't request a transplant. Your mum would need to be seen and assessed and then considered against the criteria. I do know that hospitals do have age limits for transplants so it may be that will rule her out immediately. I would suggest you try and talk to her consultant again to get a clear understanding of what can and cannot be done. I am sorry I can't be more helpful but hope you can get some answers to your questions.
