Hi Jeanielee

I was prescribed Seretide initially but didn't 'get on with it because of the steroid content so I asked for Serevent (salmeterol) but I also take Spiriva. They work in two different ways but you may be less advanced than I am on the COPD scale!

If you don't get a good result then it's worth asking about other options.

Good luck and I hope it works well for you,

I have moderate COPD. Part of my regimen is Advair. This with Spiriva are my normal medications. I have Ventolin HFA doe emergencies but I hardly need to use it. The Advair i your sere tide.

Seretide is a combined drug with both salmeterol and the steroid fluticasone. The docs usually like to prescribe beta2-adrenergic receptors like salmeterol alongside a steroid and seretide is a convenient way to do this. Has the steroid part of the seretide been replaced?
