Thank you bewildered for the link, such a kind thought for the less fortunate, however some of the poorer families I guess won't have access to a computer. But good of you non the less Have a happy Christmas.Another thought most libraries have some form of free access to a computer if people can use one.

Katie, recipients of the food banks have to be referred by an external agency, such as social services. Merry Christmas x

Happy Christmas day initial, thought it might need a referral for the food bank thanks for confirming. So the food bank map is really only for those donating food one would think??????????

An excellent link, bewildered. I now know where my nearest one is, so I'll certainly be making a donation soon. It won't be much, but I suppose every little will help. It's so sad that we live in the sixth or seventh wealthiest nation, yet food banks have increased in number! I do believe a lot of people who access food banks are not homeless, but people who are in low paid jobs, and those who have been sanctioned by the welfare policies. So terribly sad to think others are hungry, especially when there is no food shortages, that it's all down to lack of funds.

Great post bewildered, my life doesn't change much for Christmas but it was noticeable how much my food bill this week had increased, just for a few extra bits and pieces. For the people genuinely struggling out there, my heart goes out to them, especially the children but also the adults as it must be so sad feeling you can't provide for your family. xx
