Come back off Holiday to find
It certainly is. Enjoy it. I am. Will by pass Glastonbury though I'm a 40's 50's 60's music fan. xx
You timed your holiday brilliantly! Did you watch Metallica? I love the pictures keep them coming Tony and how's your Dad these days, I bet he's enjoying the nice weather, huff xxxxxx
Hi hp, glad you like the holiday pics, they come easy when the suns shinning. I did watch Metallica last night and they Rocked!!, I've decided to move into the 21st century so got rid of the very very old tele and got one of these new smart TVs and it was almost like being there.
I'm going to visit Dad today and with the sun shinning again I'm sure to take a stroll up the lane to see what wildlife's around and what flowers are on display, should be good.
Tony xxx
Metallica always rock! Good to see you back. x
Exit light, Enter night, were off to never never land. Ha Ha Ha Ha Rock on Toci!!!
My favourite.
Hi, - First off, are you the Guy I bumped into in Polperro last week?- (we had matching handbags!) If you are then you will know from our v short conversation that I have not (until today) been on the British Lung Foundation site. Dave B
Hello and welcome to the site Dave. You will find lots of useful information and lots of people with a great sense of humour here on Healthunlocked, it's always nice to meet a new member huff x
Welcome to the site, Dave. Any friend of Tony's....... is to be watched! x
Toci! How can you say such a thing, He He. Hey' do you think BLF will put me on the pay roll as a street recruitment officer. Its good that after meeting Dave at Polperro Harbour he has decided to check us out and hopefully get some help and good advice. Of coarse he may decide that were all crazy and hit the delete and run button, .
Toci we will have to be on our best behavior won't we (said very quietly just in case he's listening) Ha Ha!
Tony
Well I didn't realize I'd bumped into a healthunlocked celebrity in Polperro!! - Thanks for welcome - how does this thing work Tony - do I unload a medical profile on the site or is that OTT. I have loads of questions not sure where to cast them though.
I liked hearing there is a good sense of humour about the site Thanks again Tony and I'll keep quiet about your handbag, - anyway it's bigger than mine!!
Cheers, Dave
I think its a case of I'm a celebrity get me out of here, Ha Ha. The site has been changed a little recently but if you click on the 'dall05' next to my little picture that will give you an idea of the information you can put on. Only put on what you want people to know about you, as you can see I'm pretty open where others don't give much away, its up to you.
Best thing to do is click on everything and see what happens, to wright a post or ask a question just click on the write post button in the top right corner of your screen, fill the boxes to the required amount of letters and then tick the relevant boxes below and I'm sure somebody will soon be along to offer help support or advice.
click click click and you'll soon be up to speed. . My daughter helped me with my computer skills which was a great help and I've not looked back since. I'm always on the lookout for these special handbags as they are pretty rare but there a dead give away to those in the know, I certainly needed mine around Polperro. Think mine was a better colour than yours.
Tony
Toci - thanks for the welcome and WARNING!!!! will get back to you when I get my head around using the site. Bit of a dinosaur with I T I'm afraid but I'm getting there Cheers Dave
Hey good to have you on board Dave my fellow liquid oxy breather. It seems you listened well to my sales pitch for the BLF Healthunlocked site and I hope you enjoy being one of the gang.
Were all suffering with one lung disease or another and I think you'll find this place great for information, support, and a laugh too.
We certainly struck lucky with the weather didn't we, at times I was beginning to think I was in Greece, not Cornwall.
I'd keep it quiet if I were you about the matching handbags or everybody will want to be part of our exclusive club won't they. .
When one is wrack in pain, or gasping for air, do you really think they give two ----? Following sports is for idle minds. When ones thoughts are consume in agony, do you think life's good en it'
its a distraction of the mind ,be it sports books,or just chatting to ppl it all helps, with the day to day struggles we go thro,
Life IS good dwitt, as good as you make it. Instead of criticising others, maybe watching sports would give you something else to think about. Many on here have often been in pain and gasping for breath, this does not mean they cannot enjoy watching sports and it is difficult to see why following sports can be classed as being for idle minds? Perhaps it is just not a good day for you? I hope you feel better soon.
I have good and bad days like many others. One can't fake not being in pain. You need not say anything and others can see your in pain. The worst pain to me is a level that won't cease. That pain medication may dull the senses but not the pain. I do find ice water circulating into a bladder (cryo pump) is the best and second best is a tens unit (electrical pulses interfering with the pain message to the brain) Yep I like sports but I believe many others like myself only seek relief and trying to be entertain can't cut it at strong pain periods.
Oh dwitt I am thoroughly enjoying the sport. I admire the ability of the players. I find it takes my mind off the fact that I'm struggling to breathe and remember back to when I was able to play and compete. Reading too takes me out of my little world into others. Hope you feel happier soon. Take care. xx PS Having read your message above and some relief from your pain.
Believe me dwitt I am no stranger to pain and suffering but I can still find it in me to be positive on my good days. We are all different and should try and respect that on a community site.
Lucky for me playing tennis before falling ill kept me fit which is why I'm still here today my consultant in ICU told me so excuse me for being a lover of sport, it only saved my life.
I hope your pain eases soon dwitt. idle tony!
Just watched Costa Rica go through on penalty's, another great game like Brazil v Chile, I agree Chile were very unlucky not to progress especially after rattling that cross bar with seconds to go.
I missed Dolly today as I was visiting my Dad but will catch it somewhere with a bit of luck, there are '2' good reasons to watch that eh' great voice and lyrics, well what did you think I meant
