This is the time of your where some of us are struggling to sort out the garden for the winter. Son is being a help but a great source of help and advice is streetlife.com. This morning, I have offered some garden planter pots - money to be donated to the BLF. Had answer almost straight away. It is such a useful website/forum for all sorts of things, general conversation, help, items for sale and lots more.

The Royston branch is very interesting in many ways, friendly, useful. Quite amazing at the interreaction between each other, like a little local community. Good to explore the website - think it is throughout the country. It took a little time for it to take off. It would be an idea to find out from your local paper.
