I have been diagnosed with MINOCA.

I was taken into hospital on 9th April 2025 with a dull ache in my chest.

Had an Angiogram showing nothing in particular, but have been given medication that makes me feel grotty and not my usual self.

Came out of hospital 14th April 2025

Waitng for MRI for further investigation.

I would like to be advised if I should change my diet as I have been suffering more indigestion episodes including last night 15th April 2025.

Hope someone can help.

have a look at the diet recommendations on British Heart Foundation website.

And are you on lansoprazole or similar? Most people having cardiovascular therapy are on these I think.

Also, I take peppermint capsules.

I have reflux disease (GORD) and for that I take a PPI. Since diagnosed I have had a modified diet to reduce the symptoms, which means less of or no acidic (e.g. citrus, fizzy drinks), irritants (spicy, strong alcohol), and bloating (onions). I also found a food diary was useful in finding trigger foods. And I avoid very large meals, and eating late at night. Whilst these measures may not necessarily help since your problems are likely caused by medication, especially if you take aspirin and/or other antiplatelets they might be worth a try.

It might be helpful to check the information with your medication to see if any of them show stomach problems as a side effect, you could also ask a pharmacist

However, indigestion pain can be very similar to heart-related pain, so if the usual measures do not ease the indigestion you should seek medical advice

is it a statin that you have been put on that is causing it because I had that and I ended being given Lansoprazole and I rarely get anything like that now. Try as well not too eat too much in the evening
