PVCs?

Hi everyone, first time posting…

History of short runs of svt, nsvt, bijemny etc.

PVCs increasing,

ECG - showed unifocal PVCs

Echo - normal

Stress test - cardiologist was concerned PVCs were present at max heart rate. Arranged a ctca to rule out coronary artery disease and mri scan.

Ctca - normal.

I’m now waiting on the results from the mri and I’m now panicking it will show cardiomyopathy.

Any advice would be much appreciated.

Thanks ☺️

Please try not to panic. If the MRI does show cardiomyopathy they put you on medication to control it.

I have been thru similar and I would suggest that the "panicking" is the cause of most, if not all, of the arrhythmias.

I have had VPC's, NSVT, SVT and atrial fib intermittently for many years - atrial fib and VPCs since my 30s. Now 75 and exercising daily for 30 minutes to a heart rate of around 130/minutes on stationary cycle, then 30 minutes with weights. Not on any cardiac medication other than a statin.

Anxiety definitely caused much of my arrhythmia problem

this is very comforting to read. As a 48 year old with frequent PVCs I’m in constant panic and state of anxiety

The echo was normal, so that's positive news. I have cardiomyopathy, lead perfectly normal life. It showed up straight away on echo.If you have it, it is better to know, so they can make you safe and you can get on with your life and not have to worry about it.

It is a stressful time, I remember when I was being diagnosed, but you will get through, try some online mindfulness and walking. Sounds simple, but it got me through.
