Hey all I know this must be TMI I had a HA and a stent fitted 8 weeks ago. on Monday I ate my lunch late and ended up with diarrhea the same has happened today could it be my meds I am on aspirin bisoprolol avarastatin plagrusel and ramipril TIA

could be, or it could be something else. Have a word with your dispensing pharmacist when you buy your Imodium, maybe.

Good morning. Speak to your GP. You could be sensitive to the medication you are taking. I had a similar issue with severe diarrhoea. It turned out I had a sensitivity to Atorvastatin. This was replaced with Rosuvastatin. Problem solved .

Look at the detailed leaflet that would have come with these medications. I dont take plasrugel but take all the others.

I sometimes get the runs but it is highlighted in the leaflet as as possible side effect. its rare though. if its frequent then i would start to worry.

get it checked out it was only when I was waiting for my op that they worked out I had C Diff and I had been suffering for over a year and doctors never worked it out

Perhaps cardiac unit better for the test I had many stool samples via doctor none diagnosed what is a common condition

Hi there I had similar problem and it turned out to be Atorvastatin. Prescribed Rosuvastatin which seems fine but it’s not reducing my cholesterol enough for cardiologist so now topped up with exetimibe. Blood tests in a month to see if that’s worked. Good luck x

I was going to say Lansoprazole can cause diarrhoea if the dosage is too high but you did not list that med xxx

Yes I am on lansoprazole I forgot to put that could it just happen after being in it for 8 weeks?xxx

ok, I had been on Lansoprazole for years and then I kept getting unexplained diarrhoea on a weekly basis. I had a chat with my Pharmacist and he instantly said Lansoprazole 🎉

He advised I speak to my GP to get 15mg instead of 30mg. It worked so maybe give that a try xxx
