Firstly, thank you all for my initials post a couple of months ago, where I was scared and refused my initial bypass surgery. Which came to me very unexpected. Th responses of support and sharing of personal experiences were of such confort and encouragement. Thank you ALL, who has shared and supported.
My then follow up consultations with surgeon in January allayed many fears of the surgery to where I am now. Now, the morning of my heart bypass surgery (with robitotic arm) the less invasive surgery, now less than two hours away.
Am still very scared, though many fears have been allayed through my consultations, and pre operative appointments, and now today 13/02/25 at 8am, my surgery will take place.
And thanks again
Will see you ALL, and post on the other side, with my Heart 2.0,

I guess by the time you read this, your heart will have its new improved plumbing in place! I hope the operation went well.
I feel rather envious of you because when I needed a triple bypass - 11 months ago - I hoped that I would be able to have a minimally invasive procedure. Unfortunately, the 'plumbing' I needed was beyond the scope of current minimally-invasive practice.
The surgeon who carried out my operation was a specialist in minimally invasive bypasses so I'm sure he would have used that approach had it been appropriate for me. Specialists love to work in their area of expertise.
When you feel up to it and if you have the time, it would be great to hear about how your operation went.
Hope you have a smooth and swift recovery. Like all of us after CABG, you'll need time and medication to help the grafts bed in.
Best of luck and speedy recovery with the new plumbing work. Take your time, dont rush and all will be fine. Late dad had 5, he was so much better after the bypass.
