During this very cold weather I have noticed an increase in my angina during the night while having to get out of bed to visit the bathroom several times because of bladder issues and my bedroom being extremely cold during the night. Has anyone else noticed an increase in there angina due to the cold nights.

Angina during the night.
If your bedroom gets really cold it is possible it may affect your angina. More here
Yes I've noticed an increase and twice this week I've had to have a blast on the GTN spray to settle it back down
Your heart plays an important role in you body's heaying and cooling system - it pumps out blood which acts as the equivalent of hot water or a coolant as well as supplying the fuel to the parts of the body which need it
So in extreme temperatures it has to work harder - this is noticed more by people with heart conditions and can cause symptoms, like your angina.
I know its inconvenient enough having to wake up to use the toilet at night (I do too, at least twice a night, brrrrr), so can you keep an extra layer handy to slip on as you wake up? Make sure you pop your slippers on too. If you can afford to keep some heating on during the coldest night that might help too.
However, the angina persists once it is warmer or you are waking with angina it is time to report it to your GP or cardiologist
Be warned all "Hearties", the cold is our enemy! Make sure you keep yourself warm using warm clothing, hot water bottle/s, blankets etc, etc.
