I was waiting for an urgent referral to Rapid Pain Clinic after dodgy EGC. Gp being a real pain insisting I have a blood test first. Was due to go on Monday but lots of flooding meant I was unable to get there. Had chest aches all weekend. On Monday I woke up with chest pains, worse so far. Heart was racing. . Advised to go A & E which I did. Had ECG, chest xray and bloods. After 8 hours they found nothing wrong but did refer me to Chest Pain Clinic Also gave me a GTN spray. Just wondering what the hell it is. Possibly anxiety have had an awful 2024

Obviously you need properly checking out but judging by the many posts here, anxiety has a major impact on the health of many people here.

You can't do anything about your awful 2024 other than ensuring 2025 becomes better and your anxiety is kept in check

It sounds like A&E is covering all bases whilst you wait for a clinical diagnosis. A GTN spray is normally prescribed for Angina:

My wife was in an ACU bed last year waiting for a pacemaker to be fitted. A patient in the next bed had suspected Angina and he was waiting for an Angiograph which I believe is the gold standard test for Angina.

I hope that you get the answers that you are seeking at what must be a worrying time for you. The thought of having to go to A&E at the moment terrifies me and my wife.
