Hi.

I had a heart attack in May and had five stents fitted. I'm 63 and have now been diagnosed with Ischemic Heart Disease.

I've recently been given access to my heart scans. All the stent interventions were successful and say:

'there is a 0% residual stenosis post intervention' - apart from one stent, which says:

'OST LAD to mid LAD Lesion, there is a 80% residual stenosis post intervention'.

Can anyone tell me what all this means please? My Cardiac Nurse is off sick at the moment, so I can't ask her. Thought I'd post here first, before asking the BHF Cardiac Team.

Many thanks.

I believe that means that between the start of your LAD (ie where the LAD and LCX diverge) and the mid-section you still have an 80% narrowing. Presumably they were happy enough with that if they haven't suggested any further interventions.

Not what you're looking for?
