Hi does anyone have problems with there legs at night when taking Bisoprolol
Bisoprolol : Hi does anyone have... - British Heart Fou...
Bisoprolol
I get achy , heavy legs and have to keep moving my legs while sitting down in the evening. I’m not sure if I’d say it is caused by the bisoprolol but more to do with the several heart conditions that I have.
I'm on 10 mg bisoprolol and have no side effects whatever.
When do you take your bisoprolol? I take mine before breakfast and have no obvious side effects. Could it be a problem with other meds you take?
My lower legs feel cold and achy. I’ve taken to wearing socks and tubular bandages overnight.
I had been in bisoprolol for 5 years. At first I didn't realise I was having side effects. However, recently I found what you describe as well as some other side effects especially low blood pressure in the morning. I asked my cardioligist if I could try another betablocker. I'm on Nebivolol now for a month. I am feeling a lot better and not passing as much urine which I contributed to fluosemide but now I feel bisoprolol had contributed to this as well. Hope this helps.
statins can seem to cause leg problems. Also lack of iron.
Not every night but sometimes I get really bad pains in my knees when in bed .
I’m on 1.25mg and don’t feel I have any side effects to worry about. However, a couple of years ago I was increased to 2.5mg and my resting heart rate sometimes went as low as 43bpm. Also I tended to find I sometimes suffered from really quite vivid bad dreams and feeling down in the dumps. Not sure if that was anything to do with the increased dosage, but within days of reducing back to 1.25mg a day my resting heart rate increased to over 50 and I noticed that my mood improved and I rarely get vivid or bad dreams.
