13 years ago I was diagnosed with Angina. At the very same time I discovered that I had Type 2 Diabetes. Both my dad and grandad died from heart attacks at 62 . Medication slowly helped the Angina to become very manageable.
However, 12 years of wrongly prescribed medication for diabetes has caused serious anxiety problems that are proving very difficult to overcome.

Hi, yes I did. I suspected that Metformin was causing a problem and spoke to My GP about it. His reply was that this is the safest drug on the market. Eventually he retired and a locum came in who said no, not the safest, the cheapest! She wrote to my Diabetes Nurse who has changed my medication and that has helped a lot. The main problem now is mental. After 12 years you cannot convince your brain/body overnight that all is now well.
