having had a loop recorder prior to my pacemaker and an app attached I wonder if there is one and if so what advantage that could bring
I am concerned about the problem of being too close to my mobile and hob, is it a temporary problem or serious

I have a Medtronic pacemaker and use the Medtronic app. Personally I love having the app rather than a home monitor , as most of us have our phones with us all the time now it’s reassuring. The pacing team can schedule a download, for me it’s every 6 months but you can also manually send a download of data if you’ve been having issues. You only need to attend the clinic if they need to make any adjustments. The standard advice is don’t place you mobile over your pacemaker and as for the hob it will depend if you’ve got an induction hob . But many still use them but with a bit of caution, I believe that unless you actually lay on the hob you’re fine.
I believe Medtronic is the only one that has an app. Most people have a home monitor that sits beside your bed but it doesn't give you any info, just does auto and maybe manual uploads (not downloads). I also had an ILR previously and was surprised there was no app for the PM, that's just the way it is.
