Monitoring Appointment

This is my first post, I have HCM, and after quite a long gap I have an appointment with my cardiologist in January. Before this I have been given appointments next week for a 24hr tape, and a 24hr bp monitor. I am familiar with both, but this is the first time I have them on the same day. Is this normal, and if so would this be done for any particular reason. Also although my HCM is non obstructive, most recent echocardiogram shows a mid cavity gradient and ventricular obliteration, cannot get a clear explanation of what this means,
