same thing happened to me. I went from 1.25mg to 5mg. I couldn’t tolerate it either. Mine was then reduced to 1.25mg morning and night. I still get very tired, so am considering asking to try another alternative. Good luck!

I was exactly the same when mine was increased from 2.5mg to 3.75mg. Then the cardiologist wanted to increase it again to 5mg but I emailed him with a list of my symptoms and he has changed my medication to Diltiazem. I don't know if this will be any better, I'm still weaning off the Bisoprolol before I start taking it.

When I had to increase I just did it very very slowly over time. However if you don’t feel great then make sure that you get medical advice. You may need a change to a different medication.

hi I’m on 12.5 per day and the only side effect I get is feeling tired I would speak to your consultant about it

hi, I had to come off Bisoprorol as it dropped my pulse rate far too low, it made me extremely tired and unable to even go for a walk without chest pain. I ended up in A/E with raised troponin level. It just didn’t suit me. Do you know what your pulse rate is? I think you should make an appointment with your dr to discuss. Best wishes.

That's quite a jump from 1.25mg to 5mg. I am in constant AF and also take 5mg a day, but divided into 2.5mg morning and 2.5mg evening. That works ok for me and keeps heart rate fairly well controlled. Bisoprolol is known for causing tiredness, which is a pain in the posterior. Talk to your doctor to resolve the matter.

I have just had mine raised this week from 3.75 to 5 and I don't feel right. Very lethargic and nauseous with like indigestion feelings. Also resting heart rate can drop to 50. It's just made me feel unwell.

I'm on same 1.25 mg, but I have cardiology reveiw in November and worry about any increase in dose. It was hard enough getting used to the tiredness at 1.25mg!
