Day 39 of my partner being in hospital, and day 16 of super urgent list with not a single offer. 💔

The ECMO is no longer enough to support he is having to get a biVAD fitted ASAP. Very distressing for us as his family to hear open heart surgery, but if it will make him less breathless and feel better it’s just what needs done.

The consultants and nursing staff all warned us that heart failure would be a rollercoaster, I could do with getting off now 😭

Hello :-)

It must be a very distressing time for all and sorry your partner has to have this fitted but this will give more time in hope they find a match and he can have his heart transplant

Even though it is a rollercoaster at the moment he is in good hands and sounds like they are doing everything they can till they find a match

I know it cannot be easy but I hope you can all stay strong and that there will be a positive outcome very soon

Keep updating us :-) x

Bless you, such a worrying time for you. I know it's distressing to think of the surgery involved, but if it makes him more comfortable it will be worth it, especially while he has to wait for that donor.

Stay strong, he's fighting as best he can and he needs you all to do the same.

Any day now that donor will come.

We're all thinking of you.

Keep us posted.
