I’d say this was nothing to do with your recent hospital experience. So perhaps phone 111?

Sounds like haemorrhoids, piles.

I'm wondering if you have had haemorrhoids for a long time and maybe on blood thinners which are affecting you. They can bleed sometimes. I suggest talk to GP.

Constipation and piles. Maybe a visit to the GP is in order to double check nothing else going on.

after my H.Event the medicines upset my stomach so badly that I had constant diarrhoea. It was lock down no doctor available so it went on for quite some time. I lost nearly 3 stone and had the same as you blood .The blood was fresh not dark/black. It was piles. Eventually they found me very allergic to statins . Like you it was intermittent but also very disturbing. I’m ok now so I’d go and check it out with your GP. All the very best xx

I support what others have already suggested - you may need to take precautions for a while to help your bowels as the medication and reduced activity can "bung you up" - ask a pharmacist or your gp for advice

meanwhile, drink plenty of water, increase your fibre (fruit and veg) intake and keep as active as you can - you might also find it helps to take a stool bulking medication (e.g. Laxido) for a while

Hi, did any of your meds cause constipation, or any major changes to your diet . You probably have strained yourself passing hard stools and this can cause fissures which will bleed and become painful. Make sure your eating fibre and drink plenty of water.
