palpatations

I had a full on MI 7 weeks ago and am very lucky to still be here. Obviously on a lot of meds but chest pain is nearly just the odd twinge from the CPR damage and possible Pericarditis (which I’m taking Cochicine for). My question is, I’ve suddenly started to get an episode of palpatations once a day for around 5-10 seconds and feel hot for the same time scale just after. Then I can feel my heartbeat heavily for around 45 mins afterwards. Did home Blood pressure immediately after and came out only 107/70 with a rate of 65, but could still feel my chest beating heavily. Anxiety afterwards stopped me sleeping at all last night. Having an 24 hour ecg next week. Anyone else had similar?

I'm quite sure your cardiologist will want to be informed of these palpitations occurring relatively soon after a heart attack. He/she will most likely investigate by examining you and ordering outpatient heart monitoring which will document your heart rates and rhythms, especially noting these during any symptoms.

yeah you’re right. I’ve spoken to my heart failure nurse re this earlier today and they are fitting me with a 24 hour ECG monitor next week. I’ve bitten the bullet and bought a home 6 lead ECG thing too (as Sod’s Law, nothing will happen on the selected day 🙄). Thank you for your advice 😊👍🏻
