I had OHS April 2023. I still get aches and pains in that area. I appreciate its a big operation and the sternum broken and wired back. Do others still get pain in this region?

Mine was February 2022. I have now just about been able to sneeze without any chest pain at all. Still feels slightly itchy.
There are lots of people who do - if you look at related posts to the right of the screen on a laptop (don't know where it is on phone) or search the site you will find many people for whom the ache and pains lasts that long but, it seems, for most, the ache and pain steadily, almost imperceptibly, get less.
It's nearly 11 months since my operation. I get some pain but it's not too bad. I tried to do a quick sit up in my bath and the pain was debilitating.
I cycle with no issue but the majority of the pain comes from damaged nerves during harvesting of my leg and chest arteries/veins.
It's getting better but can take up to 2years or more.
