Amioderone 200mg did reverse my AF and I'm pleased that continues. My heart rate is now normal. Looking to reduce my dose as side effects, notably eye related, are worrying.

Amioderone
Are you having side effects at the moment? Have you discussed this with your GP?
They may be able to advise you so that you can remain on your dose without the side effects .
They will also be able to recommend which dose you need to stay on and give you a taper plan , or if it's necessary and you have bad side effects suggest an alternative drug if it's available.
hi I was on amioderone it effected my eyes and my skin I couldn’t go out in the sun. I was on it for about 2 years then it effected my thyroid it went over active off the scale and made me fill unwell. I did keep my AF under control. I had to come of it now my AF has started again
That's great news, long may your beats be steady
I have Dilated Cardiomyopathy and I'm on Amidarone for 6 months. My heart rhythm is normal again, so I will come off it soon. They have reduced it from 200mg to 100mg first to make the process easier for the heart. Maybe something you could discuss with your doctor. I feel no difference since I'm on 100mg.
hi I was on it about 2 years I could fill the sun burning me though my trousers but Iv been of of it nearly a year now so back to normal hope to get down the beach
