I have had my appointment with the cardiologist consultant, He did not know I had been referred to him, I had to go through everything that had happened to be on 6th February and said the A +E doctor had referred me because he had thought I had a conduction disorder of the heart ( surpected) , They said I have to have a test to see if I have sleep apnea and to have a 48 hour ECG holster monitor, I have been waiting for a 72 hour ECG holster monitor test since last November from a referral to cardiology from my GP

The holter monitor will tell them whether you do have a heart rhythm problem but you would need different tests for sleep apnoea. These days you need to be proactive and phone to chase up tests. Waiting from November is just not on. Ring the department and ask whether your referral has been lost. There is usually a wait of a few weeks b ut it shouldn't be months.
as per quailpop you may need to do some chasing up yourself to see if referrals have been made when they should have, especially ask the GP did they actually make the referrals, when and to whom and take it from there.
What I’ve learnt is it doesn’t pay to wait but some gentle chasing up certainly helps. Shouldn’t have to but admin processes are not error proof based on my recent experience.
Good luck
I waited 14 months for a holter monitor!!
Hopefully you won't be so long fingers crossed Gaz x
