afib and a flutter

I was diagnosed with Afib after I lost my husband in 2020. It does run in my family, but up to 63 years of age I was perfectly fine.

Long story short I was just put on Atenolol and my hair is falling out. Has anyone ever experience this?

Atenolol is a beta blocker.

I’m not sure about your medication as I am on different tablets but I’m sure other people will reply and give you their thoughts on it. Your AF could have been brought on because of the upset and shock of losing your husband which I’m truly sorry and hope you are ok and coping now. I was on no tablets for 63 years and now at 64, I have heart failure which they say is hereditary and I’m on 7 tablets now. I’ve always followed a healthy lifestyle but you never know what’s round the corner but try to stay positive and hope you have family around you. X
