Unstable Angina

Diagnosed at a& E a few weeks back with UA, unfortunately no real discharge advice given but awaiting Echocardiogram. Just wondered if members might have any advice whilst I am waiting for OP appointment?

The BHF site webpages have helpful sections on angina, including a downloadable booklet which includes do's and don'ts if you suffer from it . Just search their site for 'angina'.

But if you feel you need to talk to a health professional try the BHF Heart Helpline nurse.

My advice would be to also ask for an angiogram. This should highlight if there are any issues that don't show up on the echocardigram. My partner landed up in a and e., diagnosed with unstable angina and had an echocardigram which was fine. He wasn't referred for an angiogram, 2 months later he had emergency triple bypass surgery.
