Post embolism heart rate going up quickly

I am a runner, and had blood clots and bilateral pulmonary embolism in early January. I am now on apixaban and have recovered well enough to do low intensity sport. My issue is that when I go up from slow jogging the heart rate very quickly go up even to maximum, without me feeling any tired/short of breath or anything remotely anaerobic.

Has anyone experienced similar symptoms? Should I just keep slow jogging with an eye on the cardio or be more bold and go with how I feel?

Hello :-)

I think I would ask my Rehab Nurses if I was still in contact with them or my Doctor as this is one that the professionals advice would be the safest to listen to :-)

I hope you get the answers you need and you could always phone the BHF Nurses and see if they have any advice :-) x
