Bisoprolol to propanolol

HiI am switching from bisoprolol (2.5mg) to propanolol as my doctor has prescribed for a tremor. Do I need to taper or should I be fine just immediately swapping over ?

You should be fine I think. Check with your pharmacist or doctor though if you’re concerned. They’re both beta blockers. I’ve switched from metropolol to ateneolol, atenelol to bisoprolol and bisoprolol to carvedilol and just stopped one before starting the next. I did start carvedilol on a lower dose for a week or two though for some reason. I didn’t ask why.

Follow Dr's orders I've had no problems with Bisoprolol at all
