Hi Bill,

Welcome to the forum.

You will find many others who have angina on this group. Do you know what type of angina you have been diagnosed with?

You may find the below link helpful.

If you have a specific query or question, do state this as others might find that they can help you a lot better. It might also be useful to say what types of testing you have had and the medication you are on.

I look forward to your future posts.

All the best.

Hi MichaelJH

Only mild but cardiology nurse put me on Isosorbide Mononitrate tablets on Friday & I am suffering with severe headaches which I’m told will last about a week

Hi... I was on them before my bypass and yes the headache lasts 7 - 10 days. They also added Diltiazem which was more effective but I went to an increased dose of Isosorbide Mononitrate as it gave me occasional lightheadedness and nausea. However they might work for you as we are all different.

Yes, there are several different types of angina so it would be good if you knew which one it is.

Hi, join a very large club, with members having different types of Angina, and with different ways of being treated. On here you will read how Angina affects us in many different ways as well as how different the treatment is around the country. So welcome to the club, and I hope that you get the support and answers you need.
