I’m being stepped away from. Disopyramide to Diltiazem- for SVT - have been taking Disopyramide for 43 years so am having concerned as one of the main side affects of Diltiazem is Palpitations which has been well controlled with Disopyramide for 40 years. Am on the list for Ablation later in the year. Have not started this slow release Diltiazem yet as I’m away for while and want to be at home when I start. Would really appreciate any information anyone has as it’s making me panic slightly. Very anxious.

I started on Tildiem 300LA (diltiazem) when I became intolerant to beta blockers and found that the change soon stopped my atypical atrial flutter/atrial fibrillation. Also helps control my blood pressure & angina.I have found them very reliable with the only noticible side effect being constipation.

thank you I appreciate your response very much. The thought of having to change meds just because they’re old school is daunting for me at my age.
