Is it common to develop ckd with heart failure

Heart failure and chronic kidney disease.
I have actually read some information on the British heart foundation website about this I would share the link but i don't know how to do that x
Hi, The heart and kidneys, work very closely together, so yes there is a link between Cardiovascular Disease and CKD, rather than just Heart Failure specifically. I have attached a couple of links which will hopefully be useful, however, I would suggest asking your GP or Heart Team to explain CKD in general.

I dare say the majority of members on this forum have CKD, just a case of what stage they are at. GPs don't tend to see it as an issue for the best part.
CKD is measured in 6 Stages with 5 being the worst. Personally I've had CKD for many years caused by other heart issues, prior to HF rearing it's head. My eGFR (the main focus on attaining stage) of 30-35 since about 2013, along with high Creatine levels, so I'm at Stage 3b, although I have dipped into Stage 4 on occasions in the last couple of years. My bloods are taken, very regular at 3 months or shorter recently as heart medication can affect the kidney function, for the good and bad. I don't have any other form of intervention as such, nor do I envisage any unless my eGFR plummets further or Creatine level get out of control.
What I would say is don't panic as it's not unusual.
Best wishes
My notes said im stage 3
Thank you
