Hello
I am not 100% sure but I would imagine it would be
Hope you are keeping well x
Thank's for reply it was just a general question, I was wondering if CPR was to be attempted on someone who had bypass surgery. Just thinking if a 100kg rugby player tried it on someone what would be the likely result !!!
I am doing OK H F Consultant 11 April for a review of 24 Holter it will be interesting because HR and BP quite unstable during the 24 hrs HF Nurse requested Holter after taking ECG at Clinic.

Hi Frank, I would think if you need CPR then whether or not the sternum is strong enough would be immaterial. They do say you haven't done it properly if you haven't broken a rib or 2! My husband's sternum was broken when he was given CPR. Someone being a 100kg heavy might actually work in your favour 😳 I first learnt how to do CPR about 25 years ago & have had regular retraining since, I'm so glad that more defibrillators are being installed on street corners, I don't think I would be able to do CPR for any length of time it's incredibly tiring.
Good luck with your appt on the 11th, please let me know how you get on. Hubby's BP is now always in 80's/50's & 40's but hospital don't want to stop his Entresto as they want to treat him aggressively. HR, so far, has been stable around 50 but his ICD is pacing him at 50 though only at 17% now down, from 50% 😳
