Hello :-)

This sounds very unpleasant for you to have to deal with

It could be some of the medications you might be taking causing this but you need to go and see your Doctor and find out what is going on even if you have been before with this problem go back again and tell them it is to much for you to cope with

Let us know how you get on :-) x

Hello :-)

I am sorry to hear that and all we seem to be able to do is keep going back until they resolve it which I know for us is not what we want to be doing but the only thing that we can do

Keep telling them till they do something about it that actually works and keep us updated :-) x

i had something similar after valve surgery and it was down to atrial tachycardia which severely impaired my Ef. The effect being a buildup of fluid in my abdomen and liver. Made me very sick. Perhaps you should go to a&e and get some urgent attention as something similar doesn’t get better without intervention. My AT was halted by a cardioversion and a week later I was fully back on the road to recovery. Gps don’t understand this at all. If you can afford it go to a private cardiologist.

Hi Lily 🤗, Following my bypass September 2022, I suffered feelings of nausea most days from 10am ish to 5pm ish. This went on for a about 4 months. Fortunately, I'd made excellent progress and following an unexpected call from the cardiologists who had diagnosed my Angina I was given the OK to ditch most of the medication I was having to take at the time. Sadly, this didn't stop the sicky feelings.

Hats off to the the lovely nurse who I spoke to at the BHF. Like all the nurses who man the BHF helpline that I've spoken to they all seem to have a wealth of experience working on acute cardiac wards. This particular nurse having listened to all my moaning said it sounds like the symptoms a lot of her patients experienced with Lansoprazole.

As soon as I switched to an alternative proton pump inhibitor (Omeprazole) within days the nausea 😵went away. I don't know what medication your on but if as others have pointed out if one of them is responsible for your symptoms your GP will be able to offer you an alternative.

Good luck in your search as I know from my own experience just how a constant sicky feeling can put such a marr on everyday life.

Best wishes,

Denis
