Still waiting to hear if and when I will have surgery talked to the surgery by phone back in August. Who was very nice but it's all the waiting have lost my job as a train guard looking for new one in the company.

You do have to do a lot of chasing these days. The service is so overwhelmed that those that 'shout' loudest get seen soonest.Telephone the dept regularly and ask where you are on the list . if it is appropriate you can say you are very concerned about thelong wait and that the condition may be deteriorating..I have gone to the dept a couple of times and they have brought my dates forward.Keep pushing.Also put yourself on the cancelation list so that when someone pulls out...and they do... you can slip into that space.This has happened to me and husband a couple of times.
