So for context, since I was born I've had aortic valve problems, holes in the heart etc. I had the holes fixed and aortic valve semi sorted at birth. I then had a second open-heart op in 2017 as my 12 years of success with the valve was over. It was a ross procedure so my aortic valve was thrown away and replaced with my own pulmonary, and I have a donar pulmonary valve to fill in the old ones job. Now here's the concern, it has been 6 years since. In my last check-up appointment with my doctor, they wanted to see me in 9 months (this was in September 2023, it is now January 2024) they said I would be okay but I'd need my MRI scans etc around the next appointment. BUT, in the past 3 months, I have been experiencing a ridiculous amount of palpitations and chest pains, but only recently (last 2-3 weeks) have I been experiencing severe fatigue (I get home from sixth form and I don't choose to sleep, but I naturally fall asleep) and this sleep lasts 3-4 hours, like today. I'm getting heavily concerned as this is daily for the past 14 to 21 days alongside breathlessness, but I don't want to waste the time of a paramedic/ambulance to check on me or to go to the hospital and waste their time either if nothing comes up. I've been told by family that this could also be anxiety induced chest pains as I have a history of anxiety attacks, so it is really difficult to tell.
Sorry for the long message, but is there any advice? Thanks for the help

You have been through alot, yours is quite similar to me have a look at my bio. You have had more surgerys though x. Definitely mention all this to your gp or possibly your cardiologist? It is possible it's anxiety related aswell I have anxiety and alot of times I've felt like that I'm on medication for it so that helps take the edge off. Definitely keep an eye on your symptoms especially given your history with your health xx
I read your bio and we do have things quite similar, it's nice to see other people with the same things (relatablitly wise), thank you for your response, I'll try contact my cardiologist when I can
The plan was for a 9 month follow up, but as your symptoms have cropped up since your September visit, I would call your providers immediately to advise them of this change in your situation and to get a diagnosis underway asap. You must be your own advocate, especially given your surgical history.
These symptoms could be signs of damage to your heart. I would not take a passive approach.
Hello StarWars66 I do not think you would be wasting their time and feel your symptoms need to be checked. At the least speak to your G.P or call 111 and see what they have to say. Yes it could be anxiety but given your history you should get checked asap. Hopefully it is nothing serious but you need reassurance. Good luck 🍀I hope you get the answers you need and all is well. Please keep us updated 😊
