Hello all,
I just came across this excellent research paper on PVC ablation. It is quite technical but still very readable:

Best wishes.

Hi Mike the Pike,I experience occasional VT and PVCs on a regular, if not daily (often several hours at a time) basis. I was told it was due to caffeine and have done the whole detox thing, but still get PVCs.
I was initially told I may need ablation, but now PVCs keep getting poo pooed by medical practitioners as nothing to worry about. I may be wrong, but feel symptoms are being down played or treated minimally rather than the root cause being treated...
Hi Catykin,
Have you been told which part of the heart they are coming from and your ectopic burden? That information is good to know. Also, have you done a treadmill stress test? That is a very important test to determine if your PVCs increase or decrease with exercise and gives a good indication of the nature of your PVCs. That article gives a lot of useful information about PVC ablation, some of the risks and possible outcomes. Its a very open and honest article which has not been sponsored by any commercial entities. Please have a look at it if you get the time.
Thanks a lot MikeThe Pike. That article on catheter ablation is very helpful. I have a lot of trust in Finland on the technical side of treatments, and I feel a lot more informed if I do need catheter ablation (which has been suggested) sam-sam32
