CPAP Warning regarding ICDs and stents

Had my quarterly follow up appointment with Sleep Apnoea clinic yesterday. All well apart from news I need a new face mask as current one has magnets which can affect medical implants such as pacemaker or even metallic stents. Phillips have recalled and Resmed have issued warning letter. If you have such a mask I would suggest you contact your clinic/provider to request a mask replacement. Full details here:

Thanks for this. My husband wears a CPAP and I have 4 stents. Will check what sort he wears as it says it could affect partners laying next to it. 🙄Thank you for sharing.

Wouldn’t worry too much about the stents. They’re almost always nonferromagnetic. I survived an MRI with two stents that didn’t even budge, so I’m sure a CPAP machine will be fine. Though, mileage may vary.
