Little milestones

Today, 2 weeks after my HA I picked my daughter up from school.

A 20 minute walk there and back which I've done countless times.

I felt light headed as I entered the playground to collect her, more mind related then body related.

Felt great, felt like one little mind hurdle has been jumped successfully.

Got a call from cardio rehab for assessment in 2 weeks time so another bonus for the day.

Great news! I’ve heard really positive things about cardiac rehab and I can see from your bio that you exercised a fair bit before the HA. I hope cardiac rehab slowly helps you to build up the confidence and endurance needed to go back to exercising and the other things you enjoy again in a safe and healthy way.

All the best.

Good for you!!! I’ve had open heart surgery recently and I totally get the little steps , and getting my boy too and from school has been one of them. Stay strong

Well done Baly, you have hit the nail on the head and done the right thing, I truly believe this is the right way forward in looking to achieve little wins and celebrating them and let the 'big wins' develop over time.

Good luck with cardio rehab and all the best for the future.
