cardiac report

Hi All, I had a NsteMI in 2018 and had three stents inserted and was told at the time my LAD was 45% blocked. Last week I had a medical stress test with Dobutamine because I have been experiencing arrythmias/palpitations. The cardiac report today states : 'The test is negative for reversible iscischaemia reflects a low probability for flow limiting coronary arery disease' coupled with the cardiologist stating my LAD is 30% blocked??

I have two questions I'm hoping someone can help with:

1) what does the first statement mean

2) Is it possible that I have reduced the size of the blockage in my LAD (didn't think it was)

Any clarity would be very much appreciated.

Reading the results of the tests can be really hard to understand! Negative is actually a good thing though. ( not a doctor) but I think it means there's no irreversible damage and they can do something to help the arythmias? Maybe ask your cardiologist to explain what the letter means or BHF nurse?.

if it helps I had 2 angiograms (well 3 in total) by 2 different cardiologists, apart from the stents in LAD and lcx, I was told I had moderate disease in right coronary artery (RCa)

On the second angio by different cardiologist I was told I had no significant disease

I have since questioned this and was told it’s all down to interpretation by th individual doctors, someone’s minimal can be someone else’s moderate.

Also as the arteries are flexible and contract and expand it could be a normal variation between the 2 tests. I had a ‘gold standard’ FFR test with 2 different numbers in 3 months !!

I think the takeaways are no flow limiting disease and the fact it’s in the lower half (less than 50%) and not got any worse is encouraging !

After a HA and 2 stents, a second angiogram showed my LAD to be 68% blocked but blood flowing completely freely. Nothing else has been done except an annual echo scan to check blood flow which seems to be still ok.

I have had slight coronary artery disease for some years, however last time I had a CT scan which was reported as showing 50% LAD blockage. Later my cardiologist said they don’t take any action until a blockage is 70%. He said the Test result is not always perfect. Last echo it was reported as 25% to 50%. Obviously it is how it is interpreted, just like the EF.
